Val is solution focused and has over 20 years’ experience in substance abuse treatment, working with Woman, adolescents and adults. Val works with the Office of Mental Health Services (OMH) in NYC treating and housing individuals with SMI diagnosis. Val has worked in multiple settings, providing care in multidisciplinary settings. Val has a host of experience in individual counseling with adolescents, both inpatient and outpatient care. He has worked with incarcerated woman in the department of corrections in treatment programs aiding in the reduction of recidivism. Val’s education is in clinical psychology with a concentration in institutions and organizations. Val holds a master’s degree in both human services and Psychology. Val is presently a Doctoral candidate and completing his predoctoral internship.
