Dr. Sandoval completed her post-doctoral training at the National Center for PTSD in Honolulu where she developed expertise in treating trauma and anxiety disorders as well as associated disorders including depression and substance abuse using evidence-based interventions. Trained in the Veterans Administration system, she has experience working with veterans and active duty service members as well as their families. She works primarily with adult populations providing individual and couple’s therapy. She completed her doctorate at the San Diego State University/ University of California at San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology with special training in Neuropsychology. She has advanced training in neuropsychological assessment of dementia, stroke, epilepsy as well as traumatic brain injury and previously worked as a Staff Neuropsychologist at a Neurology Clinic.
