As an integrative therapist, Dr. Dunkel draws from various modalities to help a broad range of clients. She is passionate about helping people find meaning and purpose in their lives, unlock their unique creative potential, and strengthen their relationships. Dr. Dunkel trained in a variety of settings in the boroughs of New York City, including a high school health center, the behavioral health outpatient unit at Gouverneur Hospital, the adult day treatment program at Kings County Hospital Center, and a psychiatric inpatient unit at Bellevue Hospital Center. She has since provided psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families at community mental health centers in Hackensack, River Edge, and Teaneck. Dr. Dunkel has a special interest in stepfamily dynamics, identity formation, and trauma recovery.
